Rio Firefly 2.5 Electric Wheelchair Attachment
Shopping without exhaustion. Keeping up with your family. Going farther without asking someone to push you.
The Rio Firefly turns your manual wheelchair into a powered ride in seconds — over sidewalks, store aisles, grass, and hills. Set it up once, then clip it on and off whenever you head out.
The Rio Firefly Wheelchair Attachment is built for you if you…
- Get worn out pushing long distances
- Want to keep the wheelchair you already use
- Need a hand on hills and grass
- Travel often — it flies as a carry-on
- Want independence without buying a full power chair
- Like to keep up with family on outings
How the Rio Firefly Wheelchair Attachment works
Install the Rio Firefly mount once
About 30–60 minutes the first time with the included tools — do it yourself with the video, or have a tech set it up.
Clip the Rio Firefly on
The drive unit latches onto your chair in seconds, no tools. Just as fast to take off when you're done.
Ride the Rio Firefly farther
Power through stores, sidewalks, grass, and hills at up to 12 mph, with five speed modes you control.

Put the Rio Firefly on and go in seconds
Set it up once, and after that it clips on and off in under five seconds. Leave it by the door, wheel around inside on your own, and reattach when you head out.

Climb hills with the Rio Firefly, not your arms
A 350-watt motor pulls you up inclines and across grass so you're not powering every push by hand. Color-coded forward and reverse throttles make it easy to inch through tight aisles or open up outside — up to 12 mph.

The Rio Firefly keeps you steady on every surface
Dual disc brakes give you confident stopping power, even downhill. An oversized tire smooths out grass and bumps, and dual LED lights keep you visible as the light fades.
